Laurie A. Casas is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and an Associate Professor of Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine who is committed to excellence in Cosmetic Surgery. Named one of the top plastic surgeons in Chicago for many years since 1992, she has a multi-specialty cosmetic surgical and non-surgical practice. Her advanced training in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body and commitment to achieving the most beautiful results possible for her patients has earned her a reputation as a “perfectionist.” As an academic cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Casas has treated patients from all over the world, each of whom has individual desires and needs.
One of the hallmarks of Dr. Casas’ approach is in considering the individual - their facial features, body structure, profession, lifestyle, age and their definition of beauty. She combines the patients’ desires to have a more youthful appearance with her extensive experience to develop a strategic plan to achieve their goals. Because each person is unique, her approach instills confidence.
As a national spokesperson on aesthetic plastic surgery, Dr. Casas is frequently quoted by a wide array of publications, including the New York Times, the LA Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, U.S. News and World Report, Allure, Marie Claire, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Self, Seventeen, and the Chicago Tribune. She has appeared on national as well as local news programs, including CNN, CNBC, Fox News New York, Fox News Chicago, and NBC News Chicago to name a few. The New York Times (October 2005) named Dr. Casas one of four top plastic surgeons in the country for breast implants.
Dr. Casas graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and completed both General and Plastic Surgery training at Northwestern University in Chicago. To satisfy her desire to attain the highest level of achievement in cosmetic surgery training and clinical experience, she completed three fellowships at New York University in Cosmetic Surgery of the Face and Body, at St. Joseph Hospital-Emory University in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Breast, and at Southern Illinois University in microsurgery of the hand. She sits on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation (PSEF) and is a National Spokesperson for both ASAPS and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). As an Associate Professor of Surgery she has lectured all over the world. She serves as one of the Editors of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, has coauthored a textbook on Aesthetic Breast Surgery, has authored many peer reviewed journal articles, and is deeply involved in ongoing research to advance the field of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Casas believes that for most people, there is either a surgical or a non-surgical solution to their aesthetic “problem” which often involves the desire to “Turn Back Time.” Her goal is to help each individual reach his or her own goal of managing the aging process.

Josie L. Tenore, M.D., SM, FCFP
Josie L. Tenore is a board-certified Family Physician who became interested in aesthetics during medical school and spent much of her elective time studying dermatology and plastic surgery. She opted for a career in family medicine because it was a challenge to learn about the health and well being of humans of all ages and both sexes.
Dr. Tenore completed her medical training at the University of Toronto, Canada in 1984. Early in her career she worked part-time at a prominent Varicose Vein Treatment clinic in Toronto, taught at the Family Practice Residency Program at the University of Toronto, and developed a multi-service private practice. Her practice included many aesthetic services and she was performing facial peels as early as the mid- to late-1980’s.
After 11-years, her drive to provide the best information for her patients led her to pursue a Master of Science degree in Public Health from Harvard University. It was there that Dr. Tenore developed the added skill of interpreting scientific studies and using this information to help guide her patients’ health care decisions.
After completing her Master’s degree, Dr. Tenore moved to Chicago in 1998 to help develop the Family Medicine Residency Program at Northwestern University and holds the title of Assistant Professor with the Family Residency Program at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. In 2001, she obtained additional certification in Adolescent Medicine. Since 2006, she has focused all of her time on Aesthetic medicine and writing.
She has written about many topics in health and has been published in numerous medical journals including American Family Physician, Hospital Physician, Clinics in Family Medicine, and the Journal of Clinical Outcomes Management. In addition, Dr. Tenore is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
